The Role


Under general direction, the Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for

be responsible for designing, developing, auditing, and coordinating agency-wide learning and development activities. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, evaluate learning, and enhance the compliance with corporate policy and regulatory trainings. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.

Responsibilities


What You Will Do


  • Coordinate all logistics for training programs;
  • Audit employee onboarding to ensure all new employees are equipped with the foundational knowledge of our company and mission;
  • Administer the Learning Management System (Relias);
  • Partner with subject matter experts across Samaritan Daytop Village for training content;
  • Create training content for classroom training, web hosted training and on-demand e-learning;
  • Develop and maintain electronic training curriculum and calendar;
  • Lead in developing training materials for orientation, ongoing training (via video/tip sheets), supervision, and individual support.
  • Track attendance for all training sessions.
  • Work with program staff to support ongoing education and performance/quality improvement based on facility success and quality metrics.
  • Conduct periodic shadow visits of tenured staff to help identify trainings and training refresher needs

Qualifications


Who You Will Be


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
  • At least Three-Five (3-5) years training in OASAS and /or DHS field.
  • Prior experience working in Learning Management Systems preferably RELIAS.
  • Strong training facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourceful when developing training materials
