The Role


Under general direction, The Supervisor of Peer Services will work with the team to provide Peer Services with a treatment, rehabilitation and recovery focus. He or she will supervise the Peers and will provide support, guidance and feedback to assist them in assessing and better providing peer-based support to the program participants.

Responsibilities


What You Will Do


  • Supports team of Peer Workers in evaluating, developing and implementing treatment plans according to service protocols.
  • Provides back-up support when necessary.
  • Reviews work and documentation for quality, completeness, timeliness and adherence to established policies and protocols.
  • Provides regular and consistent supervision to Peer Workers, assisting them when necessary to identify entitlements and services for their program participants.
  • Works as a member and leader of the Treatment team, ensuring coordination and consistency of service delivery.
  • Carries a caseload of no more than 4 participants.
  • Assists Peer Workers on how to share personal experiences to foster a sense of hope and recovery.
  • Ensures coordination of services through collaboration and consultation with other staff, providers and identified family and/or friends of participant.
  • Attends and participates in weekly supervision, staff meetings and periodic in-service trainings.
  • Attains and maintains competency in evidence-based practices as assigned.
  • Documents time, effort and tasks during working hours as required for billing.
  • Performs other duties as requested

Qualifications


Who You Will Be


  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • CRPA certification.
  • CASAC certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in NYS behavioral health field, one of which must be in SUD and at least one year in a supervisory capacity
  • Two years of life experience with behavioral health issues
