The Role


Under general direction of the Program Director, The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinical staff and interns and provide direct clinical services to clients with identified substance use needs. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and monitoring day-to-day clinical operations including oversight of service delivery, timely completion of paperwork, quality assurance, and program evaluation including ensuring the programs meet all internal and external regulatory standards and requirements. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.

Responsibilities


What You Will Do


  • Provides clinical supervision to clinical staff.
  • Completes performance reviews as required.
  • Oversees various as needed administrative tasks assigned
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary colleagues  
  • Ensures the maintenance and monitoring of accurate, complete, and timely client treatment records by staff. 
  • Monitors accurate completion of billing paperwork.
  • Provides regularly scheduled clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff.
  • Documents supervisory sessions with staff.
  • Meets monthly productivity expectations for assigned staff
  • In collaboration with the Program Director conducts ongoing review of the clinical program design, suggest and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensures that assigned supervisees uphold the agency's Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics and comply with all Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Qualifications


Who You Will Be


  • A licensed NYSED Qualified Health Professional (QHP) with some experience in mental health and substance use treatment
  • A licensed NYSED in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) required
  • Prior management/supervisory experience required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Team player and ability to work independently with good time management, writing and communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to supervise, coach, mentor, develop, train and teach mental health therapists, substance use counselors and other clinical discipline providers
  • Ability to implement and monitor policy and procedure in accordance with agency and program guidelines
